Traditionally there are a total of seven facial shapes. In order to choose the most flattering style of wig, consideration should be given to your facial shape.
Oval — This face shape is evenly proportioned and works well with just about any hairstyle, length and texture.
Round — The Round Shape face requires added height to narrow the width of the face and lengthen the neck. The hair should be combed close to the sides of the face and at the nape.
Square — The Square shaped face requires height on top and narrowness at the sides. The wide jaw can be softened with curly textures and wisps of hair around the face.
Oblong — The Oblong, shaped face has a very long and narrow bone structure. A fringe or slight bang and soft waves or curls in the crown and nape areas help to soften and create the illusion of an oval.
Heart — The Heart shaped face has a wider forehead and a narrower chin. A fringe over the forehead will soften the width. The hair should sit close to the head at eye level and then fill out slightly from the ears to the jaw.
Pear — The Pear, shaped face has a small or narrow forehead and wider, larger jaw. Hair should be combed to add width around the eyes and through the crown. Then smoothed close to the head on the sides and at the nape.
Diamond — The Diamond, shaped face is narrow at the forehead and the chin, with wide cheekbones. Bob styles wigs work well for this shape and a fringe helps to cover the narrow forehead.

Sometimes I feel really sorry when students call me and tell me how many thousands of dollars they have spent and did not learn anything. Remember all that glitters is not gold, please think twice about how you are going to make back the money you will spend on these wig making courses.

Top of the line hair extensions are called the cuticle hair. Why? Because hair with the existing cuticle on moves and feel soft like your own hair. Hair with the cuticle on, I really do not care if it is European, Chinese or Indian hair, cuticle hair is considered top of the line human hair.
But one should further make sure, even if the cuticle is on the hair, the hair could be non Remy which would cause a bird nest tangle if it is not processed, therefore you should always make sure the cuticle hair is all going - or should I say flowing - in the same direction your own natural hair grows, meaning the cuticles should not be reversed.
In conclusion cuticle hair is first grade human hair with the hair cuticles all flowing in the same direction, meaning the root of the hair is with the root of the hair and the tips of the hair is with the tips of the hair - they should never be reversed, no matter what. If the hair is not all flowing in the same direction there will be massive problems with tangles.

Today I have decided to share my opinion about the most important machine in the hair industry, which is called the wefting machine.
This machine wefts the hair together and prepares the hair in the making of wigs and hair extensions. One must be carefully trained on this machine and I remember when I was trained to used this machine how much I hated it, but after i realized the importance of this machine in the hair industry I fell in love with it. Threading was very difficult in the beginning because some wefting machines have two machine heads and I was first trained to use the three headed wefting machine which was really difficult to thread. However once you master the art of threading you will fall in love with this machine when you see all the things you can manufacture with it. I also like the fact that one has the option to glue the hair as you sew or just sew the hair without the glue.
If you are thinking of purchasing a wefting machine, please shop around since there are many inferior wefting machines out there. Do not order this machine on-line like some of my students did. Please be properly trained on this industrial machine and you also will fall in love with it.
