ATOMS FOR PEACE REVEAL VIDEO FOR 'INGENUE'
28 February 2013
Atoms For Peace, the new project from Thom Yorke, today reveal a stunning new video.
‘Ingenue’ is taken from Atoms For Peace’s new album Amok", released this week on XL Recordings.
The video was conceived and directed by Garth Jennings and choreographed by Wayne McGregor, the same team behind Radiohead’s ‘Lotus Flower’ video. Thom is joined onstage by contemporary dancer Fukiko Takase
Meanwhile, Atoms For Peace are throwing a series of special album launch events over the coming weeks. Following a sold out event at east London’s Oval Space on Friday, two further Amok launch events are set to take place in Berlin (Berghain, 8th March) and New York (Le Poisson Rouge, 14th March). Each event will feature a performance from Thom and Nigel Godrich, lightheartedly described by Thom as “two turntables & a microphone” on Twitter. The nights will also feature full lineups of very special guests. Full details below:
FRIDAY 8TH MARCH: BERLIN (SOLD OUT)
THURSDAY 14TH MARCH: NEW YORK (SOLD OUT)
Atoms For Peace have also announced a trio of full-band live appearances for the summer. The band will perform at the EXIT FESTIVAL, SERBIA (10th-14th July), POHODA FESTIVAL, SLOVAKIA (12th July) and MELT FESTIVAL, GERMANY (19th-21st July)

Atoms For Peace comprised of Thom Yorke (Vocals Keyboards Programming and Guitars), Nigel Godrich (Production & Programming), Joey Waronker (Drums), Mauro Refosco (Percussion), and Flea (Bass) formed years ago to learn to play The Eraser
Earlier today, Thom and Nigel appeared on Reddit’s Ask me Anything after which they posted Amok on the band’s website for all to stream. Any site that has the link to the stream automatically gets added to the site’s visualizer, which cycles through the sites randomly.
Amok is released on February 26th on CD, Deluxe CD, LP, Deluxe LP and download and will feature artwork from longtime collaborator Stanley Donwood.

29 January 2013
Starting today Efterklang and Andreas Koefoed are inviting people to host their own screenings of The Ghost Of Piramida from February 8th until March 24th.
In order to host a screening, each event must be free entry, must be public, must have a minimum of 5 people and must be verified by Efterklang & Andreas Koefoed (only screenings that are featured on www.theghostofpiramida.com are official Private-Public Screenings)
Screenings can take place at a home, at a café, in a school auditorium – basically, anywhere. Those planning to host screenings in their own homes will be able to have full control over who can attend.
For more information and details on how to apply visit www.theghostofpiramida.com
In The Ghost Of Piramida the Danish director Andreas Koefoed follows Efterklang on their 9-day audio expedition to the ghost town Piramida on Spitsbergen, located just a thousand kilometers from the North Pole and home to more polar bears than people.
The Ghost of Piramida premiered in November in Amsterdam at the world’s biggest documentary film festival IDFA, and here the film was selected as one of the top three music films of the year. Since then, the film has been screened at several other film festivals and in art house cinemas around Europe.
Efterklang have successfully screened films via the Private-Public Screenings method before. In 2011 An Island, their collaborative film with Vincent Moon, was screened nearly 1,200 times in just two months.

Paul Banks Drops Mixtape featuring El-P, High Prizm, Mike G and Talib
28 January 2013
Just in from the department of unexpectedness…. Banks (no, not Lloyd) has upped a mixtape and it’s called EVERYBODY ON MY DICK LIKE THEY SUPPOSED TO BE.
Actually, we kinda knew this was happening. Paul sent over a rough mixtape about 9 months ago of his beats and production and it was genius. And what, with all the Kendricks and the A$APs and whatever, we thought a mixtape would take Banks to new heights if we got it out months before release.
But the long-standing issues with Matador and the rap game quickly blew up our pre-release hype strategy. Long story short, we have earned a certain “cash-only” rep in the hip hop world requiring us to either send briefcases handcuffed to interns to studios deep in Flatbush or…. call in favors which takes time.
In this case, Paul called in a some mega-favors and got features from El-P, Talib, Mike G, and… hold up, HIGH PRIZM (né High Priest).
