Banner Advertisement Guide

The following guidelines applies specifically to image advertisement (banners) appearing on Toronto.Net pages. You may also consider general Advertising Guidelines in addition.

Banner Designer Tips

When designing banners, keep file size between 5 — 20Kb. The faster your banner loads, the more likely it will be seen.
Animated banners tend to be more effective than static banners at generating click-throughs.
Banner must not contain audio that plays automatically, without a user's interaction.
Any automated animation must cease after 15 seconds and must not replay.
